IPL 2017 – Twitter Reacts After Game Ends In Super Over
n absolute thriller was witnessed in Rajkot, as the game between the hosts and Mumbai Indians ended in a super over. An absolute thriller was witnessed in Rajkot, as the game between the hosts and Mumbai Indians ended in a super over.
What seemed to be a straightforward victory for the Mumbai Indians, turned into a nightmare, as a lower order collapse and some exceptional fielding saw the game being tied.
However, Jasprit Bumrah held his nerves in the super over, needing to defend 12 and did a fabulous job indeed.
Batting first on what seemed to be a reasonable deck, Gujarat could only manage 153-9 in 20 overs, as a dominant bowling performance from Mumbai strangled them down. Barring a gutsy 48 from young Ishan Kishan, there wasn’t anything much to write about for the hosts.
The star of the game though was Jasprit Bumrah with his mind-boggling display in the super over. Fans on Twitter were running out of breath during the super over and below are some of the tweets.

Kim and Kourtney served up a treat for 2-for-1 Kardashian sisters in bikinis ... and Kim's ass is back to hogging the spotlight.
The Kardashians were down in Mexico this weekend with their gal pals -- including Brittny Gastineau, Malika Haqq and Larsa Pippen -- hitting the beach in some pretty revealing swimwear.
Kim's bikinis definitely took the cake ... and provided plenty too for the paps. Kourtney, meanwhile, seemed more focused on flashing some serious underboob.
Just a healthy reminder ... summer is coming.

Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 was initially slated to clash with Golmaal Again and Aamir Khan's Secret Superstar. Later, Rohit Shetty moved the release of his comic caper and now the makers of 2.0 have postponed their release date too. Raju Mahalingam, one of the makers of the sequel, took to Twitter to confirm the news. "Our most ambitious project, Shankar's '2.o' shifts to January 25, 2018. It moves from earlier Diwali release to achieve world class standards in VFX," he wrote. Incidentally, this new date clashes with Sidharth Malhotra and Manoj Bajpayee's crime drama Aiyaary.

KIM KARDASHIAN THE FLU DIET WORKS
KIM KARDASHIAN made a joke about the flu helping her drop some poundage ... but these pics prove a little temp can do a body good.
Paps got Kim out and about in L.A. Tuesday night in a bralette, skin-tight pants and a very loose coat that let everything hang out. She looks good ... damn good.
That same night, Kim tweeted that she was 6 pounds down from the flu ... joking it made for an "amazing" diet. She took heat ... and then took the tweet down.

Maybe controversial, but the results are undeniable.

Eating More of This High-Fiber Food May Lower Your Diabetes Risk
Pulses are trending big time. That includes all types of beans, lentils, peas, and chickpeas. New products—from lentil chips to roasted chickpeas—are appearing on grocery story shelves, and desserts made with pulse flours and pureed pulses are all over Pinterest (black bean brownies, anyone?). There's a lot to love about pulses: They're gluten-free and eco-friendly, and loaded with nutrients and antioxidants. And now, there's another reason to add more pulses to your diet: Recent research suggests they might help you stave off type 2 diabetes.
A new study published in the journal Clinical Nutrition tracked more than 3,300 adults who were at high risk of heart disease for four years. Researchers found that compared to those with a low intake of pulses (12.73 grams/day, or about 1.5 servings/week), those with a higher consumption (28.75 grams/day, equivalent to 3.35 servings/week) had a 35% lower risk of developing type 2 diabetes. The study also showed that participants who substituted half a serving of pulses a day for a similar serving of eggs, bread, rice, or baked potato had a lower incidence of diabetes.
The health protection that pulses offer may be related to several factors. In addition to being rich in B vitamins and minerals (including calcium, potassium and magnesium), pulses have a unique macronutrient makeup: The protein, fiber, and carbohydrates that pulses pack help to slow digestion. This extends the feeling of fullness, delays hunger, and results in a low glycemic response—meaning pulses help your body regulate blood glucose and insulin levels.
Full disclosure: I’m obsessed with pulses. A few years ago I wrote a book called Slim Down Now, with pulses as the cornerstone. It contains an eating plan that incorporates a ½ cup serving of pulses per day, either as the protein in a plant-based meal, or as the fiber-rich starch in a meal that includes animal protein (like adding white beans to tuna salad). I had a lot of fun developing the recipes for the book, which include pulse-based pudding, smoothies, frozen pops, chocolate truffles, and brownies, in addition to savory dishes, like lentil stuffed peppers, and cannellini bean “lasagna.”
I found that pulses are incredibly easy to incorporate into a wide variety of dishes, and the women who tested my plan lost weight—without feeling hungry, deprived, or lacking energy. I also devoted an entire chapter to research on the health benefits of pulses, which, in addition to blood glucose regulation include weight and belly fat loss, cholesterol reduction, cancer protection, improved athletic performance, and higher overall nutrient intake.

Now, if you’re worried about the potential “side effects” of eating more pulses—namely bloating and gas—know that your body will adapt. A study from Arizona State University looked into the bean bloat phenomenon by observing 40 volunteers for eight weeks.
One group in the study added ½ cup of canned carrots to their diet each day, while the second ate an extra ½ cup of beans. In the first week, about 35% of the subjects who added beans reported an increase in flatulence (note: 65% did not!). By week two, only 19% reported excess gas. And the number continued to decline each week—to 11% by week four, and down to 3% by week eight.
If you want to boost your own pulse intake, you've got plenty of options: Whip beans or chickpea flour into smoothies, or choose pulse-based soups. Add black beans or chickpeas to omelets and salads. Snack on roasted chickpeas, hummus or other pulse dips. Use pulse noodles in place of grain versions, and swap all purpose flour for chickpea or fava bean flour in baked goods, or to thicken sauces.
You can also think outside the box with hummus: Use it as a salad dressing, or in place of cream to make vodka sauce. I also use mashed, seasoned white beans as substitutes for eggs or cheese in many vegan recipes. The possibilities are endless. And the result is always a delicious, filling, and satisfying way to protect your health.

Jennifer Aniston's Style, Decoded! Plus, More Celeb Uniforms
Being a celebrity involves a daily rush of cameras and a schedule full of events. While many of us struggle to think of what to wear in the morning, celebs are thinking about what to wear on the red carpet. That's a lot of pressure and outfit planning. The solution: Stick to what works.
For Janelle Monáe, it's black and white. The songstress-turned-actress has turned two-tone patterns and eclectic flair into an iconic style. Until recently Janelle only wore suits, making her style an homage to her parents' blue collar jobs and her humble lifestyle prior to music. Now, with the release of both Moonlight and Hidden Figures, the star and her stylist, Maeve Reily, welcome dresses and separates into her attire.
Gwen Stefani is a prime example of a celebrity with well-developed style. The Voice coach has maintained her "cool factor" for over two decades as a both a musician and fashion icon—super impressive. Fun, funky and feminine, you can find jumpsuits, drop-crotch pants, high heels and overalls in her L.A.M.B. collection. The pop icon proves that she can make anything look cool, including fishnets. Even though fishnets under jeans has gained momentum in celeb fashion, Gwen has been rocking this style for a long time, proving her trendsetter status.
How many ways can Jennifer Aniston wear a little black dress? Based on photos from the last two decades, the options are endless. With her petite, yet fit frame, these dresses are flattering on her. The actress clearly enjoys showing off her legs, and these dresses make her toned legs the star. LBDs are also universally appropriate—the perfect go-to for any celeb with a full calendar.
Vanessa Hudgens is the queen of boho-chic. From paisley, tie-dye and floral prints to flower crowns, the actress takes her hippie influences everywhere she goes. Just ask her stylist Natalie Saidi, who supplies the actress with enough maxi dresses to fill Vanessa's heart's desire. This star continues to demonstrate how to elevate bohemian looks, from the flirty appeal of pink lace on the carpet to bold leopard print on a Sunday stroll.

Indian Idol 2017 - LV Revanth and Sachin Tendulkar
All of Hyderabad cheered on as city boy, LV Revanth was adjudged Indian Idol on Sunday night. And what made it extra special was the fact that his "all-time hero", cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar, handed him the Indian Idol trophy. "It's a dream come true to win the title and it could not have been better than getting it from the legend himself," said the 27-year-old, adding, "I finally got my girlfriend..." referring to an earlier interview where he told Hyderabad Times, "Abhi ke liye Indian Idol he meri girlfriend hain..."
Revanth, who rocked the finale, with his electrifying performance of Ude Dil Befikre, said he is overwhelmed by the support that poured in for him. "I thank everybody who voted for me, especially the people of Hyderabad. I can't wait to be in Hyderabad and meet everyone," added the singer, as he took time out from all the celebrations in Mumbai for a telecon. Excerpts.
So, has the feeling sunk in yet...?
I am already having a 'celebrity wala' feeling... I partied till 2 am with other participants and crew members of the show. We danced like there's no tomorrow. But then I had to get up early in the morning as I had promotional activities and interviews lined-up. It's all pretty crazy!
You got pretty emotional on stage when you were declared Indian Idol 2017...
Tears rolled down my mother's eyes when I won the title; that got me emotional. When I hugged her, the first thing she told me was 'Revanth, I know you are good, but always be humble'. Sachin sir also said the same thing and asked me to not let success get to my head. I had lost my father before I was born, so I know the importance of family. I have been brought up in a humble environment and I'll never forget my roots.
